Bali - A popular travel destination among tourists from around the globe. The bustling city offers a rich experience, be it its vibrant cafe culture, beautiful beaches, and its laid-back lifestyle. The one thing that stood out to me was its abundance of land, nature, and mountains. Mount Batur is one of the most popular, if not the most, popular mountain to hike. Offering guided hikes to cater to different experiences like the sunset hike and sunrise hike (which I took), the journey up and down Mount Batur was an enjoyable and inspiring moment.
As a fan of nature, mountains, and life experiences, I decided to document this journey, creating a short film that hoped to inspire people and share the experience of climbing Bali's most popular mountain. The process of documenting was not easy as it was a solo shoot, and the conditions were unfavourable for a smooth ride. I had to carry my camera which was mounted on a tripod with one hand and shoot while climbing the steep rocks in the dark. Nevertheless, I managed to experience the culture, and people of the mountain, and I would not have done it any other way.
